STOP! PLEASE READ! Student/Faculty Portal Update

Hello, Baker community,

On behalf of the executive leadership team, I want to acknowledge the disruption that recent system challenges have caused for students, faculty, and staff. We recognize that operating without full access to the student information system (SIS) has been frustrating and disruptive. Your patience and understanding have been deeply appreciated as we work toward long-term solutions.

Baker University remains committed to resolving these issues through the SIS Update Initiative. Since March, our internal team has been working alongside BerryDunn, a nationally recognized consulting firm, to stabilize and modernize our SIS platform. The new system is cloud-based and currently undergoing live testing. While measurable progress has been made, it is not yet ready for full deployment. Testing continues weekly to ensure a stable and reliable experience before broader access is granted.

We understand the importance of accessing your information. To support your needs during this period, we have developed a dedicated webpage with solutions for common SIS-related requests, including how to access transcripts, final grades, billing, and more. Each section includes the appropriate contact information for follow-up support.

We know this has been a challenging time, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this system update has caused. Thank you for your continued grace and resilience as we work toward a better, more dependable experience for the entire Baker community.

Sincerely,
President Hoot Gibson
